We have been programmed since birth.
The only way to take back control of our lives, and create the income we deserve… is to create a product.
History has shown us, we work for the majority of our lives. We’re taught to save until retirement, just to be too old to do anything, then we die.
End of story.
We were conditioned this way.
We were taught to obey authority. Learn things we didn’t give two (bleeps) about and work for people who don’t care about us, so we can eventually live a somewhat decent life.
We were being coded, like the matrix.
The good news is… times are changing baby!
Decentralization of work has begun.
Since 2020, remote work is now the norm.
There are more opportunities than ever before (thanks to the digital renaissance era).
Stats that’ll make you think
The creator economy is projected to almost double from $250B to $480B by 2027. I wouldn’t be surprised if it hits $500B by 2028.
Freelance work has increased from 36% of the workforce to 46.6%, since 2020. That’s almost half the workforce.
The people are taking back their power, thanks to the Internet.
I’ve been nerding out on the internet since 1996. Taught myself to code and started doing freelance work building websites.
I always knew I didn’t want to work for other people. That’s not where my heart is at.
My heart is helping people learn skills that pays bills, so they can have the “choice” of doing their own thing.
It’s all about freedom for me. I love freedom and I know that working a 9-5 job isn’t it.
Building Your Digital Leverage
You just be you, and do what you love.
Don’t hide your passion. Be public about it.
You’re audience will grow, and you can build a digital product around it.
Everyone out here is a creator and a consumer in some way.
You text your friends and have conversations every day. You have ideas. You create something every day.
You purchase products, and you consume some form of content every day.
In order to create, you must consume. That’s what give you ideas and opinions.
Social media is where the attention is at right now. We know that may change in the future, but the principles remain the same.
If you want to take control of your life, you must:
- Create
- Distribute a valuable product
- Put it where it gets attention
- Contribute more than you take
And here’s the BEST part:
- You don’t need money to start
- You don’t need a lot of experience (just what you know)
- You don’t even need a lot of followers
- You don’t have to worry about saturation
Technology has evolved to the point where you can run a one-person business with 90%+ profit margins and work less than 4 hours per day.
Building Your Distribution
Remember from the last letter, there are levels.
The first level is about building your audience.
You need an audience.
Social media is more than just an app on your phone. You still have yet to make the connection that it’s a major part of our economy.
Here’s the point:
You need a group of people how know what you do and how it helps them.
That’s what the business you work for does.
It’s about becoming the CEO of your life. You run the show.
Building the 6-Figure Product
You have $100,000 trapped in your head, trust me! You do.
- Your current skills
- The things you’re interested in
- The knowledge that you obtain
- Goals you have achieved already
- Problems you have solved for others and yourself
- The story you’ve created in this life and what you’ve overcome
If you’ve done anything in life, there’s a chance someone will pay you to help them do the same thing.
I started this journey learning a skill and providing it as a service-based type of business. Where I did the work for other people.
This approach still works, but it sucks away your time, and if you value time as a freedom you want to have, I wouldn’t recommend starting a service based business.
However, there are people that want to do services for others and don’t mind, and if that is the case, you can for sure start a service-based business.
However, if you value your time freedom, you need to play the long game.
- Improve yourself (mindset & skills)
- Document your journey in public (put it on social media, your stage/platform)
- Turn that into a product to help others achieve the same goal
Creating a digital product is the highest level play for those who want full control over their time. They fulfill themselves while you sleep.
That’s why you need to start building an audience immediately (even before you have a product ready).
Here’s what you’ll need to get through this:
- Maintain a long term mindset (don’t expect this to work overnight)
- Be in it for the right reasons (if you’re struggling financially, go get a job temporarily)
- Set yourself up for decades of success (If you’re older, than think about your kids & grandkids)
- Help people get results with your products
- Write content based on popular formats to see what your audience likes
How To Extract That 6-Figure Product From Your Head
First, you need to understand why people buy products.
They want a transformation. They want to see some improvement.
They like things that will ultimately:
- Save them time
- Make them more money
- Increase their quality of life
So start with the big 3 markets: Health, Wealth, and Relationships.
Follow the steps below:
- Turn yourself into your customer avatar
- List out your interests
- List out your goals
- List out your problems
- List out exactly how to overcome the problem and achieve the goal
When you do this, you know have content ideas and a starting point of a profitable product.
Think about how you can save them time, make them more money or increase the quality of their life through from the lists you created.
If you have achieved something in your life, you’re already set!
Package up everything necessary to achieve that goal into a digital product.
I do this all the time with my digital product toolkits.
A course, coaching, cohort, workshop, template, checklist, systems, tutorial, trackers, or anything else you’ve seen other creators selling online.
We all want freedom, but you need an audience to accomplish that.
No matter if something out there is similar. Sell it under the most unique brand “you”, and be the first to introduce people to the importance of that product. It will sell.
You can also build a product that you used before, but make it better. Build the product you want. Build a product that solves a problem in your life.
There are so many ways that you can learn to earn, it’s unbelievable.
So the focus at level 1, should be all about building your audience.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
